GEL MANICURES

The Gel base we use is called Gelish, it is made in the USA and has won multiple awards and holds a patent for the first brush in bottle gel polish invented in the US. The base gel is a soak off formula which creates an adhesive bond between the nail plate and the gel products without damaging the nail plate. Our spa carries many different high quality gel lines to include up to 600 colours and brands such as BIO Gel, OPI, Gelish, DND, Estemio, Apres Gel and more.

Includes e-file Russian manicure with meticulous cuticle work using diamond bits and techniques to ensure excellent gel application, no lifting and all dead skin is cleaned. Included with all our manicures is a hydrating sugar scrub to exfoliate dry skin and hand cream+hot towel. Use of only LED lights and the highest sanitization methods practiced. For the highest form of sanitization all supplies are one time use which means they are disposed of, we do not reuse files, brushed or pumice, cuticle sticks.

MEDIUM GEL MANICURES $60

Medium Nails have more free edge and length to your manicure and require reinforcement or more product and time to prevent lifting, chipping and breaking.

What are Gel Tip Extensions?

Excellent for those who want to extend their current nail length, these full coverage , breakthrough nail tips are made with a unique soft jelly material that gives you ultimate flexibility and durability. The tips are lighter than air and are designed to cover from the cuticle to free edge. Soft Gel Tips come in pre cut and shaped sizes so every nail is the exact same curve and length. The sizes and shapes include short, medium and long in Square, round, almond and coffin. These are perfect fitting, stronger and more break-resistant design.

No glue is used to attach these tips, the soft gel is cured under a LED light retaining a more secure hold without compromising the natural nail bed. After the application of the tips ant coloured gel is painted on top. Nail art design prices are subject to your service provider, product, skill set and the amount of time your nail art takes. Nail art takes more time and we ask that you book accordingly to prevent disappointment.

GEL REMOVAL AND PERFECT MANICURE $50

When you want to safely and properly remove gel and perform a regular manicure afterwards. We remove a majority of gel from the natural nail and then perform cuticle work, shaping and exfoliate, cream and apply nail hardener or your choice of regular nail polish.

GEL REFRESH $40

Do you ever time your manicure wrong and then have an event and just need a touch up of the same colour?

Ideally done 1-2 weeks after your initial manicure only recommender if your manicure is in good condition.

HOW DOES IPL (INTENSE PULSE LIGHT) HAIR REMOVAL WORK?

When used in hair reduction, the light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair. It quickly turns to heat which then breaks down the hair follicle, making the hair thinner, lighter, and grow back at a much slower rate, eventually stopping the hair from developing all together.
WHY DO I NEED A SERIES OF TREATMENTS?

Hair grows in three phases, Anagen (growing) Catagen(transitional) Telogen(resting) The growth cycle is significant because laser hair removal treatment is only effective on actively growing hair i.e. during the Anagen stage, which is also when the melanin is at its most abundant. For the face, the hair will reach the phase after 4 weeks, for the body, it takes up to 6 weeks. Laser can only treat the hairs that are present and not the ones that have yet to be formed or developed.
WILL IT REDUCE INGROWN HAIRS?

Yes, it is able to target stubborn ingrown uner the skin because of the pigment in the hair.
HOW OFTEN DO I HAVE TO COME FOR AN APPOINTMENT?

For treatments on the face, treatments should be scheduled every four weeks. Areas on the body should be performed every six weeks.
AT WHAT AGE CAN YOU START LASER?

16 Years old due to hormones, pain tolerance and liabilities. Laser can be performed on candidates younger however, a waiver must be signed be a guardian.
DO I NEED TO SHAVE BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT?

On the day before your treatment you should shave thoroughly with a new razor. Shaving is the only method of hair removal recommended while having laser treatments. Shaving removes hair above the skin that can result in surface skin damage from burnt hairs but it leaves the hair shaft intact below the surface. The laser admits light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. This is why it is imperative that you Do not wax or plaque in the area. Tips for shaving do not dry shave the area, use a new razor choose a non-perfume shaving product, take your time and shave The area well. How to prepare before laser hair removal Leaving hair behind can result in discomfort shaving for laser hair removal is essential to ensure a safe and comfortable and effective experience and result.
